The Nokia XL, part of the new Nokia X family of android smartphones, has been launched in Kenya. The Nokia XL was launched at a media event at the Sarova Stanley in Nairobi.

The Nokia XL comes with a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragonâ„¢ S4 processor, 5 inch screen (480 x 800 pixels), 5 Megapixel (2592 Ñ… 1944 pixels) back camera with autofocus camera, 4 GB internal memory and 768MB of RAM.

It’s predecessor the Nokia X has performed very well in the Kenyan market and is now a top 10 selling smartphone in Kenya according to Bruce Howe, General Manager, East Africa, Microsoft Devices. I should mention that Nokia has finally made the switch is now referred to as Microsoft Devices.

The Nokia XL is available in the following colours: black, orange, green, white and yellow.

The Nokia XL is retailing at Ksh. 15,500.
