OneDrive just gave existing users a reason to stay on and new people to sign up to the service. This comes with the announcement of increased storage space.

Storing your data in the cloud is not ennoiugh, you also need to be able to share it, to collaborate on it or do much more. OneDrive has you covered by bringing in the power of Office to let you do more with everything you put in your OneDrive — whether it’s sharing your favorite photos with the people you care about in one simple click or working together in real time on an important project.

The new deal comes with the following:

1. OneDrive will come with 15 GB for free

According to OneDrive, 3 out of 4 people have less than 15 GB of files stored on their PC. With this in mind, users will get 15 GB space for free making it easier to have documents, videos, and photos available in one place. This offer is double the previous one which only had 7GB space

2. All versions of Office 365 will come with 1 TB of OneDrive storage

It will soon be possible to 1 TB of OneDrive with your subscription to Office 365.

For Office 365 Home ($9.99/mo) you’ll get 1 TB per person for up to 5 people. With Office 365 Personal ($6.99/mo) and University ($79.99/4yr) you will get 1 TB per subscription.

3. Storage prices will drop by over 70%

If you need more storage, but don’t need an Office 365 subscription, monthly subscription storage options will also be available. This will come at dramatically reduced rates.

The new monthly prices will be $1.99 for 100 GB (previously $7.49) and $3.99 for 200 GB (previously $11.49).

All of these updates are set to take effect in the next month.
