The five star Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi has opened its doors. The Radisson Blu Hotel franchise is operated by the Carlson Rezidor Group based in Belgium. The Nairobi Radisson is run by General Manager Jens Brandin, a German career hotelier.

Radisson Blu Nairobi has 271 rooms including 13 suites and a Presidential Suite. The hotel has two restaurants, The Chop House steak & seafood restaurant and the Larder. It also has fourteen meeting rooms and a 590-square-metre ballroom that can be split into three.

The Ksh. 7 billion Radisson Blu Nairobi is majority owned (58.7%) by Michael Kairu with Swedfund (21.3%), Finnfund (10%) and IFU (10%) owning the rest.
