Kenyan startup has received an investment of $125,000 from Nest, Zeytin Limited, Venture Kinetics and other angel investors.

Ongair was founded by Trevor Kimenye (CEO) and Charles Gichuki (CTO) 12 months ago. Ongair is a web based platform that enables businesses to handle their customer service through instant messaging platforms such as Whatsapp, WeChat, Telegram and Line. It has plans to add more messaging platforms to its service to enable businesses better communicate with its clients.

Ongairs has over 700 clients in 40 countries scattered over 4 continents. They include TecnoBuy (Costa Rica), Zeker.ME (Denmark), Petsy (Mexico), CoreFone (Uruguay), Navitas global, AMREF Health Africa, Cheki Africa, Chase Bank (Kenya), EliteBet (Kenya), JamboPay (Kenya), OLX (Kenya & Nigeria) and Heineken.

Kimenye, while commenting on the investment, said that Nest is an ideal partner because of their presence in Asia, Europe, Africa and the US. He added; “As we continue to scale our business globally. We’re excited to have a partner on board that provides us not only capital, but also vast strategic experience and network across these markets. Our goal is to help businesses serve customers and we’ll use the additional resources to support growth, expand strategically into Asian markets and deliver great product to delight our customers around the world”.
