Multichoice the company which owns Gotv has today announced that they have reduced the price of their premium bouquet from Sh.920 to Sh.699 which represents a 24% reduction.
This follows a decrease in the prices of the other bouquets that is Gotv Value which reduced to Sh.470 from Sh.650 and Gotv Lite which reduced from Sh.2,200 per year to Sh.840 per year.
The decrease in the bouquet is supposed to coincide with the beginning of the holiday season. Though my thinking is that it is a way of encouraging uptake after many people stopped using the service after an ill advised price hike earlier in the year.
Subscribers will still be able to enjoy the 44 channels that they have been enjoying despite the reduction in price.
