The Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA) have launched the the Commercial Law Guidebook. The book will serve as reference material for those dealing with commercial cases. It includes best practices in handling commercial disputes such illicit trade, customs, standards and intellectual property.

The book was developed with the input of judges, magistrates and experts from organizations such as KAM, Kenya Revenue Authority(KRA), Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI) and the Anti-Counterfeit Agency (ACA).

Commercial Law Guidebook

The 135 page book contains an explainer of the Kenyan legal system, the life cycle of a case, taxes, Intellectual property, relevant law and case law. The book is retailing at Ksh. 1,000 and is available at the KAM offices (KAM House) in Westlands, opposite Westgate Shopping Mall.
