Kenya’s Supreme Court has today declared the Presidential Election where IEBC declared Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner invalid due to irregularities. It also ordered a new election in 60 days.

Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga had lodged a case in the Supreme Court citing major irregularites in how the IEBC handled the election.

Supporters took to Ngong Road minutes after the case was decided to celebrate the outcome of the case. They were peaceful and they blocked sections of Ngong Road at some point. The police were in attendance but in the end there were not needed as the protesters danced on the road and later dispersed as peacefully as they came.
