Crown Paints Kenya CEO Mr Rakesh Rao

Crown Paints in partnership with Sunrise Capital, has unveiled an ultra-modern paint depot in Meru. The depot will be located at Nkubu Town and will display and stock Crown Paints products. The facility is the first of its kind within Mt Kenya region. Other depots outside Nairobi include Kisumu, Mombasa, Mwanza and Arusha.

Crown Paints Kenya Limited CEO Mr Rakesh Rao explained that the decision to open Nkubu based depot was driven by paint demand and sales inquiries from the region. “Paint consumption within Mt Kenya region is growing. The housing market has been changing very fast with more people using texture and paint finishes. Industry players have also been demanding for higher quality paint and finishes. Crown Paints has developed strategic partnerships with local traders and we are proud to partner with Sunrise Capital Limited,” Rao said.

As the decorative paints industry grows, Crown Paints is moving to meet the demand. They are looking to leave their footprints across the country and the new depot is a sign of this.

The Meru depot will offer detailed information on Crown Paints entire line of paints, as well as paint color selection tools, professional services, and educational programs. It will also feature latest innovations in paints and interior finishes and will offer consumers tips on how to enhance building aesthetics using quality products. It is designed as a one stop colour expression Centre.

Before launching the depot, Crown Paints also initiated a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by transforming lives of Nkubu Special School.
