Jack Daniel’s whiskey making process starts with the mash which is made from corn (maize), rye and malted barley. It is thereafter distilled in copper stills and then charcoal mellowed which removes impurities and the taste of corn. After the mellowing, it is aged in newly handcrafted oak barrels, which give the whiskey its colour and flavour.

This whiskey making process has brought forth renowned brands such as Jack Daniel’s Black Label, Gentleman Jack and Single Barrel, which the local distributor, Wines of the World, has made available in Kenya for some time now.

Another member of the Jack Daniel’s family is the Tennessee Honey. It is a blend of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and a unique honey liqueur. This whiskey, which is smooth and has hints of honey, is now available in the Kenyan market after being launched at an exclusive event at the Westwood Hotel.

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey is best enjoyed chilled, on the rocks, accompanied by a lemon flavoured drink or ginger ale.
