Kenya Airways, in conjunction with Cellulant, recently launched a new mobile technology platform called KQ Mobile.

At the launch Kenya Airways CEO Titus Naikuni had this say about the service:

The recently launched service dubbed ‘KQ Mobile’ can be accessed through the short code *737# and will allow the airline’s customers to conveniently access information on their flight status, timetable, cargo services, ticketing and query their Msafiri Miles status.

I decided to try out the service yesterday and i can confirm that i didn’t access the information i wanted and top it all of i was charged for it and the service sent me a message telling me to go to the Kenya Airways website for more details. See screenshot below.

My advice to Kenya Airways customers? Don’t bother with KQ Mobile. If you need information about their services or special offers just go to their website or call their offices.
