ShowMax TV service offers its customers in Kenya a choice of paying via M-Pesa. It is pretty straightforward and to make things even easier, I have worked on a short guide.
ShowMax has two offerings ShowMax Premium for ksh. 880 and ShowMax Select for ksh 330. You can only pay for Select using M-Pesa.

There’s something for everyone on ShowMax with shows such as Suits, Luther, Silicon Valley and Big Bang Theory as well as Kenyan TV shows such as Kona, Sumu la Penzi, Mheshimiwa and even Vitimbi. Select customers don’t have access to all the shows that you get with Premium, but you still get more than 3 000 of international shows like Nashville and Teen Wolf plus local content. ShowMax also allows you to download up to 25 movies or series to your Android or Apple smartphone or tablet to watch offline.
Here’s how to pay for ShowMax with M-Pesa.
1. Create an account
You need a ShowMax account which you can sign up for chap chap here. If you have one already, bounce to instruction 2.
2. Choose M-Pesa as a payment option
Once you choose M-Pesa, you will be prompted to enter your phone number and click next.
3. Choose subscription
You will then need to choose the package that you want to pay for. You can choose to pay for a month, 3 months or 6 months for the package of your choice.
4. Pay
To pay:
- Go to the M-pesa Menu on your phone
- Select Lipa Na M-Pesa
- Select PayBill
- Enter Business Number – 852552
- Enter account Number – Phone number that you added to your account in instruction number 2.
- Input your pin to complete the transaction.
Note: You have to pay with the number that you added to your account.
5. Validate M-Pesa
Once you receive the payment confirmation message from M-Pesa, click on validate M-Pesa. Your payment will be validated once ShowMax receives a payment confirmation from M-Pesa
6. You are good to go
Once the payment is validated, you can now binge watch as many movies and TV shows as you want.
