Renault launched the KWID car in Kenya in July last year. At the time, they launched the manual version of the car at Ksh. 999,999. They have now introduced the automatic model which will retail at Ksh. 1,299,999 (VAT inclusive).

The KWID automatic will come with a 68 horsepower 1000cc engine. The car comes with a 3 year warranty and it apparently gives 24 kilometers to the liter.

The KWID is distributed by Renault Kenya which has branches at the Aspire Centre in Westlands and Mombasa Rd Mombasa, Kisumu and in Kisii. The Renault Kenya brand is owned by Simba Caetano Formula, a company that is owned by Simba Corporation and Salvador Caetano Group.
