French bakery chain, Le Grenier à Pain, has officially launched in Nairobi. The chain has over 30 branches worldwide and the Nairobi one is the first in Africa.

The bakery is located at the 9 Riverside Building and will offer a wide variety of breads, patisseries, savouries, special occasion cakes for birthdays and weddings as well as authentic French pastries.

The chain is operating in Kenya under Boulangerie & Company limited and has invested Ksh. 120 Million. The bakery’s production team is 100% Kenyan and the chefs have been trained in France.

Le Grenier à Pain was created by Michael Galloyer in 1998 and has won numerous awards, most recent being the 2010 and 2015: 1st prize for the best traditional baguette in Paris.
