Unless you’ve been living under a very dark and damp rock, then you’ve heard of Barbecue Live and WizKid. Well, you can be forgiven for not knowing about Barbeque Live. But WizKid? Nah fam, that would be a damn shame.
For those who may not know about it, “Barbecue Live is a premium outdoor event that brings together young professionals in a relaxed and chilled out Kenyan themed atmosphere with locally inspired menus””. This is the description provided on their Facebook page.
The organisers of the event announced that the 14th edition will have WizKid as the headlining act and the venue will be KICC grounds. The prices ranged from Ksh. 3,000 for early bird tickets to Ksh. 25,000 for VVIP.
The exorbitant ticket prices and the choice of the venue did not sit well with most Kenyans and being a country that does not waste an opportunity to roast, the comments below the post announcing the concert were hilarious.
