The award-winning Broadway musical, Jesus Christ Super Star is back on 14th September at The Kenya National Theatre. The musical play was first staged in April and got good reviews from those who watched it. The play is an adaptation of the rock and roll musical by Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Tim Rice in 1970.
The play is based on the life of Jesus Christ as told through the perspective of Judas Iscariot. Director Start Nash will lead the production. He has previously directed other plays such as Annie and Joseph and the amazing technicolour dream coat.
His cast starrs Martin Githinji (Jesus), Mkamzee Mwatela (Herod), Mugambi Nthiga (Judas), and Nice Githinji (Mary Magdalene).
Showtimes will be as follows:
- Thursday 14th September – 7PM
- Friday 15th – 7PM
- Saturday 16th – 3PM and 7PM
- Sunday 17th – 5PM
All shows will be staged at the Kenya National Theatre in Nairobi.
