Richot brandy was recently rebranded and it’s because of this that East African Breweries Limited (EABL) invited me, other bloggers and journalists to a tour of their factory in Ruaraka to see firsthand how Richot Brandy is produced.

The production manager Kenneth Nkanata took us around the factory and showed us the Richot production process which starts when the ingredients i.e. five year concentrate, purified water & spirit are pumped into stainless steel compounding tanks and thereafter the blending process begins. There is a quality lab to ensure the resulting product is up to standard and after that it goes to packaging. After packaging, the product is held for 21 days so that it can reach full maturation and quality and it’s then shipped for sale.

Kendi Kilonzo, EABL’s Marketing Manager for Spirits (Kenya) was in attendance and i got to interview her. Watch the video below.
