The winners of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2014 (AMVCA) have just been announced at a star studded event at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island in Lagos Nigeria.
The event was hosted by IK Osakioduwa, Osas Ighodaro and Vimbai Mutinhiri.
The AMVCAs have 26 categories; 6 are voted for by viewers, 18 (technical categories) are selected by industry experts judging panel and 2 i.e. TrailBlazer of the Year (awarded to a rising star in the industry) and the Industry Merit Award (awarded to a veteran Industry professional) are also selected by a judging panel.
Nairobi Half Life did very well winning 4 awards. In total Kenyan productions emerged victorious in the following categories:
